The Barapullah Canal—an ancient network of water channels—that weaves through much of south Delhi, is gradually losing its way in the new urban landscape. Carefully hidden, often no different in appearance from a regular drain, there are, however, thousands of people living along its way in destitution. These were settlers who did not find land elsewhere. This documentation and representation project with an exhibition set up at Sundar Nursery in New Delhi.
